This song was inspired by the love of two dear friends, one of which is no longer with us in the physical realm. He was a teacher of love, as are many. This is my song dedicated to that love.
lyrics
What good is my song if left unsung?
What good is my protection?
If all it does is keep you from me.
I got walls around my heart,
Put there for good reason.
But will you slay the dragons
And cross my moat of protection?
For behind this fortress,
I am longing to be seen.
And I know the fire of love is hot,
But won't you hold my hand?
We can both melt together.
When the time comes,
I'll be ready.
Until then, I'll sit in patience.
And ready myself to die in love's flame.
For when the ashes fall,
Only true selves will remain.
